Four Steps to Natural Pore Reduction

One of the most common complaints that women have when they go to their aestheticians is large pores. This affliction can cause the skin to look uneven, and can contribute to breakouts. Millions of dollars are spent every year trying to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, but there is a very simple and all natural pore reduction method you should try before you get out your credit card.
- The first thing you want to do is give up on those harsh, abrasive cleanser and toners. They may work for a few days, but overall they are doing nothing but stripping your skin of essential oils, drying it out, and making you more susceptible to breakouts, fine lines and wrinkles, and even skin cancer. Instead, opt for a natural, gentle cleanser with few additives and use it twice a day with warm water. Follow with a light moisturizer that moisturizes yet still allows your skin to breathe.
- Exfoliate sparingly. You definitely need to exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and allow your face to glow, but you should only do so once a week, and never if you face is broken out or has any kind of visible irritation. Use a natural exfoliate such as a sugar scrub, which has superfine particles. Use a gentle circular motion, avoiding your eye area, and after you rinse, let your skin breathe for an hour or so before you put any moisturizer on it.
- Make your own natural pore reduction mask. One of the most effective beauty products can be made in 2 minutes from items sitting in your refrigerator right now. Combine two egg whites, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Mix the ingredients and apply to your skin, allowing it to dry completely. You will literally feel – and see—your skin retracting. Be careful not to pull or push at your skin, especially around the eyes, while you have this mask on. When you’re ready to rinse, use warm water and follow with a cotton pad of witch hazel.
- Finally, allow yourself to go without makeup following the mask, and as often as you can at other times. Makeup is fun, but it isn’t meant to be worn 24/7. Your skin is an organ that requires oxygen, and makeup literally blocks its ability to breathe. Regularly allowing yourself to go without makeup, along with using the natural pore reduction mask each week will result in noticeably better skin.
