Beautiful Everyday Bags

There are a million handbags in every size and shape, but most of us carry a fairly simple every day bag to the office or to school.  Something that is easy to match with our clothes and can hold the stuff we really need as we go about our daily business.

Ordinarily I’m not a fan of Juicy Couture bags.  They tend to be a little too trendy; a little too juvenile.  But I fell in love with this sweet little bowler the minute I saw it.  For one thing, it lacks the usual “Juicy Couture” scribbled all over it, opting for a modest but elegant gold toned “JC” logo.  I also really love the color, which happens to be one of the most versatile leathers I’ve seen in a while.  Made from goatskin, it’s got a supple, buttery texture that is found in high end bags like Balenciaga.

The dimensions are 10"W X 12"H X 4¾"D, which makes it usable for us grown up girls who need to carry around more than our Hello Kitty lip gloss and a cell phone.  It’s got a nice structured look, too.  This bag would be at home in a professional wardrobe.  It is conservative enough to be carried to work, but it still has the soft curves that allow it to be carried after work or on the weekend.

Other features include the double top handle with buckle accents and a 6.5” drop; outside flap pocket with push lock closure, cotton lining, and three interior pockets.  If you are looking for a classic bag that is going to be useful in twenty years, this is the bag for you.  Priced at $450, it is more expensive than a lot of the other Juicy bags—but its classic styling makes it worth the price.

This bag is absolutely perfect for a fall or winter wardrobe, and will go beautifully with the rich tweeds, luxurious cashmeres and elegant wools that the season calls for.  If you like general motif of this bag, you may also want to check out the Juicy classic medallion haute bag which has the same leather and hardware color, but with a slightly more sophisticated design that would be more at home for formal wear.
The other bag on my wish list for this winter is the Coach Zoe bag in burnished brown leather.

Zoe can take care of all the business you need it to, but it still has a good deal of spunk with its relaxed structure and unfussy exterior.  No logos, pockets, or patches; it’s clean looking and can be dressed up or down, depending on the situation.  The dimensions are 12 1/4 (L) x 10 1/4 (H) x 4 (W) and it includes an interior zip pocket, a cell phone pocket, and zip top closure.  The gold brass accents accentuate the lustrous finish of the leather.  The 17 ¼” strap also makes it easy to carry along with a laptop case.

Coach bags are well-known for their appealing styles and durability.  They are made with exceptional workmanship and with proper care will last you your entire life.  Some of the bags made by Coach can be considered trendy, and even the Zoe comes in some unconventional colors including a metallic copper and magenta; however if you’re looking for a good every day bag, Coach has a wide range of pieces that will appeal to your own personal sense of style.
